Love Through Tornados...
I was in the Hahn’s house that they live in now. The outside looked the same as it does today, but the inside was completely different. As I walked inside I saw a huge living room with luxurious furniture and a huge cozy fireplace that was lit. The rest of the rooms were just as big with the same luxurious furniture, linens, and other amenities.
It was as if the Hahn’s were hosting some type of party or get together as the Deaville family was over. Kevin, Mitchell, and Chris were playing together, Steve and Matt were working on some house project, Michelle was in her office, and I was just walking in through the back door.
The sky was slightly cloudy that day and the air smelled of fresh rain on its way. As I walked throughout the house I could hear the thunder booming and as I walked passed the windows I could see the flashes of light ripple through the sky. The rain began to pour down and the sky turned a dark midnight black. I began to have an eary feeling that bad weather was on its way.
About 30 minutes later the tornado siren whistled. I yelled for everyone to get someplace safe. Everyone just sort of walked to the living room area (lots of windows surrounded the room) and hung out as if nothing was happening. I yelled for Steve and began to explain to him that we needed to be someplace underground where there weren’t any windows as it would be much safer.
Steve walked to a wooden door with a black metal handle and pulled it open. I peered down the stairs and saw that it was built with concreted. I quickly gathered everyone up and told them to go down the stairs and find a little cove to tuck into. I followed the last person down the stairs only to find that there were lots of windows in the basement area.
I quickly called for Steve again and he took me back upstairs and opened another wooden door with a black metal handle.
I quickly ran down the stairs and found that it too was made of concrete and only had a couple of small windows. I hurried back to the fist basement area where everyone was just standing. I yelled for them to run up the stairs and motioned for them to go down to the second basement. Steve was still at the top of the stairs with me as we waited for the last person to go down. I then turned to Steve and asked him if there were any other basements. He led me to the third and final wooden door with a black metal handle. He decided to join the others in the second basement, so I opened the door and went down to the third basement by myself.
I found this basement to be the best out of all of them. It had no windows and little concrete closets throughout the tiny basement. I knew this was the one that everyone was supposed to have been in. I quickly ran up the stairs and back to the second basement. I opened the door and yelled for everyone to come back upstairs and into the third basement. The only two people that came were Kevin and Mitchell.
I grabbed their hands and we ran to the third basement. By now the hail was hitting the house hard and I knew the tornado was almost on top of us. We ran down the stairs and into one of the tiny closets. We all sat in a circle and the two boys held out their hands as if we were going to join hands and pray together. Instead I pulled them close to my chest and held them tight as the tornado ripped through the house. We could hear the cracking of wood and the upstairs of the house falling apart. When the storm finally passed the three of us emerged from the tiny closet, only to find the rest of the group that had been in the second closet standing in the room looking through a door that was hidden in the back. We stood there and looked at all the damage that had been done and were all glad to still be alive.
The dream ended and I woke up, but with a sense of completion and pride. It was as if I had been handed a mission to accomplish and I did, but in an even greated way than what was expected.
